Do pomiaru biegów szukałem rozwiązania alternatywnego dla urządzeń typy Garmin Furerunner. Pod uwagę brałem aplikacje pobierane na telefon komórkowy z GPS gdzie program zapisuje ślad oraz podstawowe dane a następnie przekazuje na strony www, na których można analizować przesłane wyniki i przeglądać trasę na mapie.

Używaliśmy telefonów Nokia e52, c5 oraz Samsung Omnia. Korzystaliśmy z Kilka konkurencyjnych programów dostępnych dla tych modeli telefonów jak:

SportyPal
Endomondo
Sports Tracker

Wszystkie były ciekawe i miały rozbudowane funkcje. Z tych apliakcji, przypadła nam do gusty i jak dla nas najlepsza okazała się aplikacja Sports Tracker Nokii (zalety: dokładność pomiary trasy, szybkość właczania gps, możliwości prezentacji na mapach google, ciekawe analizy, ładna i estetyczna grafika).
